Help for persons with disabilities like deaf, blind, mute in the Philippines
Hands of Mercy is an independent non-profit organization that strives to enhance the lives of persons with disabilities in three ways:
- Enabling others through training, resources, and encouragement to effectively minister with persons with disabilities.
- Seeking partnership with individuals, churches, and other organizations to meet the physical and spiritual needs of persons with disabilities.
- Providing a full range of services for persons with developmental disabilities including residential options, employment, training skills, opportunities for social interaction, and opportunities for spiritual growth.
- To harness and hone the talents and skills of the PWD’s (People with Disabilities) by employing their services in curtain making, landscaping, water features, hardscaping, softscaping, weddings in style, and the creation of unique handmade crafts.
For the past 7 years since its inception, Hands of Mercy has ministered to the PWD’s (People with Disabilities) community through COMPASSION, LOVE AND ACTION and most of all, our love for serving OUR LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST. Through the destitute handicapped of Cebu City, Philippines.
Hands of Mercy’s outreach livelihood program were chartered in the year 2004 as a non-profit organization specifically catering to the poorest among the poor of the PWD’s (PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES). As an independent ministry, Hands of Mercy is not affiliated with any denomination. It is supported solely by God fearing individuals that God has led to partner with this ministry.
Find it in your hearts to help and support our cause in having your gardens professionally landscaped or buy plants from our nursery to help sustain the PWD’s daily sustenance
And help make a difference in the lives of our destitute handicapped workers.
“The one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as if you have made up your mind not reluctantly or under compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver and God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance so that by always having enough of everything you may share abundantly in every good work. (Two Corinthians 9:6:8)
- Donations in kind will be highly appreciated and cash donations shall be strongly discouraged to show our transparency in our outreach livelihood program…..

Hello Hands of Mercy,
I’m a post-graduate student trying to find data/statistics on people with disabilities in the Philippines.
I would like to ask if you have any data on the current demography of PWDs and the availability of service providers, not excluding funding and human resources, and the distribution of facilities that cater to the needs os PWDs in the different parts of the country.
If you have such data, may I request for you to forward them to my email address. We are trying to come up with a policy paper to help implement the numerous programs for our PWDs.
Many thanks and more power to you.
